Fishing:

The Netherlands is one of the best destinations in Europe for spinning enthusiasts. The country of canals, lakes and rivers offers fantastic conditions for catching trophy pike, zander and perch. Thanks to a sophisticated system of fish regulation and protection, the local population of predators has exceptional genetics - and when everything comes together, it is not a problem to get really big pieces.

My guiding in the Netherlands is focused on active fishing from a professional sports fishing boat Bass Cat with a Mercury 175HP engine that travels at speeds of up to 100 km/h, which is equipped with the most modern Garmin electronics and technology that modern times have to offer.

I choose locations according to current conditions and fish migration to give you the best chance of contact with a large pike, massive zander or fighting perch. Everything takes place under my guidance as an experienced guide, I know the local waters in detail because I successfully participate and place in the top positions of the largest European competitions that take place on the same lakes.

I will help not only with choosing bait, but also with guidance, locating fish and proper fishing techniques, and I will also lend you the best equipment currently on the market.

Who is this trip for?

This fishing trip is ideal for catching big fish, preferably in smaller numbers of one or two anglers who really want to catch with a high chance of a trophy catch. Whether you are a seasoned troller or just want to "try it out", I will adapt the fishing style to your experience.

When to go?

Predator hunting in the Netherlands is possible from the last weekend of May until the end of March of the following year.

The largest pike-perch are often caught in autumn and winter when they are actively feeding and in their best weight condition, but there are also great conditions in spring, especially for hunting trophy perch exceeding the magic limit of 50cm and weighing over 2.5kg, when the water is clear and the fish are active before spawning.

Just to give you an idea of how big fish you can catch.

Pike is commonly caught in lengths of 90-110cm, but it is very often possible to catch fish over 120cm - 15kg+, and even fish over 130cm are caught every year!!

Zander is commonly caught in lengths of 60-80cm with a good chance of catching over 90cm, and as one of the few waters in Europe where you can catch fish over 100cm - 10kg +.

Perch is commonly caught in lengths of 40-50cm with a good chance of exceeding the magical limit of 50cm - 3kg +.

The Netherlands has one distinctive feature - very changeable weather. Due to its location by the sea and low altitude, strong winds often blow here, long rains occur, and cold, unpleasant days are not uncommon. Unfortunately, these conditions will never prevent us from going out on the water and fishing. In extreme cases, the weather can be so unfavorable that it could even endanger our health - and in such situations, we prefer to choose safety.

Transfer:

The ideal way to travel to the Netherlands is by air - Amsterdam or Rotterdam where I will pick you up/drop you off at the airport or by car from Prague, approximately 900 km away.

Accommodations:

I offer comfortable accommodation in a modernly equipped house right by the water - an ideal base for a fishing stay in the Netherlands. The house is located in a quiet location with direct access to the canal where the boat is moored right by the garden. From there it is just a short walk to the lake, where your fishing day begins. The house offers a fully equipped kitchen, living room, several bedrooms, bathroom and terrace with garden. There is wifi, TV and the possibility of outdoor seating after a busy day on the water with the possibility of barbecue. Although it is a terraced house, the comfort, location and view of the water surface will provide you with the right base for relaxation and fishing adventures. Everything is prepared so that you feel at home after returning from the water - stylish, comfortable and functional. Thanks to the proximity of the Marina, shops and restaurants, you have everything you need at hand.
